For more than ten years Lampre has been committed to financing projects for scientific research in the medical field promoted by the European Institute of Oncology (IEO).
Our experience begins in 1998 by supporting clinical research in surgery and medical branch.
In 2004 our company worked with IEO to raising funds for the clinical study of the applicability of integrated radiotherapy to the surgery for prostate cancer. Through our cycling team, Lampre auctioned the bicycle of the world champion Igor Astarloa.
Aware of the fact that training is the winning weapon in every field in order to achieve important goals, in 2006 Lampre has decided to support a formation program of a team of surgeons dedicated to a new frontier in technology: robotic surgery in oncology.
“From the maximum tolerated treatment, to the minimum effective treatment” is the philosophy of care that has always led the European Institute of Oncology, and subsequently the affirmation in urology.
In 2008 Lampre welcomed a new challenge together with the IEO by supporting a School of Robotic Surgery dedicated to the training of Italian and foreigner surgical teams, anesthetists and registered nurses, so that a growing number of patients can benefit from the advantages of the actions carried out with robotic technology.
