Today the Lampre Group is an important presence on the European panorama of pre-coated steel production, and has a wide range of highly specialised complementary products and services. Since 1975, when the company was founded, Lampre has concentrated on a continuous development and recognition process, reaching a leadership position in the field of high quality pre-coated steel. Meanwhile Lampre also created a solid network of associated companies (Lampre Portuguesa, Lamital and Lamfer) in order to offer an increasingly satisfactory response to the requirements of a continuously evolving market. The Pvc coated and pre-painted steel produced by Lampre have therefore been complemented with cutting services and the marketing of a wide range of steel products supplied by Lamital and Lamfer. The Lampre Group is present worldwide; the multinational status of the company, however, does not prevent the Group from continuing in their “family management” of the concern, that is: the Group is managed by memebers of the family or persons who are very much in line with their way of thinking and, consequently, with their line of action. This means that the culture within the Group stems from the traditions and the approach adopted by the founders. The financial results confirm the Group’s capacity as for the investment management activity required to maintain a leadership position in technological and product innovations and to provide financial stability to the company. The Lampre Group gained recognition as a brand name when they embarked on the sponsorship of a professional team of cyclists (Professional Cycling Team Lampre).
